Coordinated by Suat Ayoz, a gathering will be held in Istanbul on 20th November at Sisli Square, 13:00, to remember traffic victims with love and respect; there will be an exhibition of photographs of all October 2011 crashes (photos taken by the Turkish News Agency DHA) and 10 coffins to symbolize 10,000 deaths, with a press conference in front of this street exhibition.
A petition on hit & run will also be launched, asking for a definite sanction for this appalling offence. As a special mark of appreciation of the work of Suat Ayoz and recognition of the importance of the World Day, the Metropolitan Municipality has promised to erect a Memorial to road traffic victims in Istanbul in 2012.
